Opportunities

Join the Pensini Lab.

We welcome inquiries from prospective MASc and PhD students interested in understanding molecular mechanisms and their consequences for complex fluids and soft materials.

Bring scientific curiosity.

Applicants with backgrounds in physics, chemistry, materials science and related disciplines are particularly encouraged to reach out. Prior work in environmental engineering is not a requirement for all projects.

Projects may combine experimental characterization, physical analysis and computational modelling, depending on the questions investigated. Research directions include phase behavior and separation phenomena, transport in complex porous and fractured media, and functional soft materials with mechanoelectric or other stimulus-dependent responses.

We also welcome inquiries from exceptional undergraduate students interested in conducting research before starting graduate studies. Please describe your interests, relevant preparation, and availability when contacting the group.
